Ana was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1983, and lives in Chicago, IL, since 2014. She got her PhD after working for firms like IBM, PwC, and Prisa as a Business Developer and Senior Consultant, in the Entertainment, Media and Technology departments. Her latest research and articles are focused on Game Design, and more specific, in the application of Game Analytics, Learning Analytics, and data analysis to improve the design and mechanics of videogames and serious games.
She completed her PhD as part of the e-UCM e-Learning Research Group at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She also received the B.S. degree in Computer Science and the M.S. degree in New Technologies from the Francisco de Vitoria University (Madrid), in 2009, the M.S. degree in International Business Advisory from EOI (Industrial Organization School, Madrid), in 2011, and the M.S. degree in Marketing of the Entertainment Business from ESIC Business and Marketing School (Madrid), in 2011.
