CEIEC will be part of the SECURHOME consortium

Universidad Francisco de Vitoria represented by CEIEC will be part of the SECURHOME consortium, a project that is part of the INTERREG V-A Spain-Portugal framework program 2014-2020. The project, where it will also collaborate Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (SP), la Universidade de Aveiro (PT), la Universidade Nova de Lisboa (PT) y la Universidad de Vigo (SP), consists of “Detection of modifications in the behaviour of elderly people through non-invasive IoT systems with AI”. The consortium will develop and validate a non-invasive device that through the daily behavior of a person can detect, through artificial intelligence techniques, if it is at risk or not through their daily activity at home analyzing their movement, sound, temperature , use of the TV, etc. In particular, CEIEC will make an analysis of the data collected by a home sensory device.

INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal 2014-2020, is an international cooperation program Spain-Portugal financed with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF funds) approved by the European Commission in its Decision C (2015) 893, on February 12, 2015. It promotes development along Europe’s largest frontier with a planned investment of more than € 365m.

The project, which will end in June 2020, is funded with 95,000 €
